I have sailed over 20 cruises and the Getaway is the noisiest ship ever. Loud music abounds in the main dinning room and every other venue on ship. Conversations are almost impossible while dinning unless one purchases an alternate dinning option. There are several of those to choose from. So, if one wants to dine and converse with those at their table they will have to purchase an optional dinning option. I feel this is by design from the Norwegian folks.

Children running around every where. Be careful when walking around the ship as one is almost guaranteed to encounter a child out of control. Dinning room, adult pool, theater, or just about anywhere on ship. I tripped over several children in the buffet area while getting food. I attribute all of the out of control children firstly to parents that don't control their kids and Norwegian's policy of children sailing free. There is a facility for parents to enroll their children but there must be a fee and the parents are too cheap to pay it.

Food is excellent on the ship. One is not overly bothered by beverage folks to purchase drinks. There is plenty to do as far as activities go. The decor is very well done. The staff is friendly. There are no public seating places away from the noisy bars with the exception of the Waterfront.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BC

This cabin is more than adequate for 2 people but very crowded for 3. The balcony is a little larger than other standard cabins. No chairs inside cabin only a sofa. Bathroom is roomy and nice. This cabin is really quiet.
