We are new to cruising and went on Celebrity Solstice in March on a 12 night Cruise around NZ and then to Australia, we fell in love with Cruising so decided to bring our 2 youngest with us on an 8 night Cruise from Sydney to Noumea, Isle of Pines and Mare.

We stayed one night in Sydney beforehand which we enjoyed very much. We could watch the boat coming in on the morning of our cruise from Holiday Inn Old Sydney.

Embarkation was easy, as we had a Suite we were straight through and it only took 30 minutes top to get on the ship. However our bags were not delivered as they apparently had things in them that were "not allowed". We had to go stand in the naughty line at 5pm to retrieve our bags. It turned out that they thought our hair straighteners were power boards....no wonder the line was long. My daughter sorted all this out, however it took her about 40 minutes and they sent her to about 3 different locations.

Nice Suite, things getting a little old and jaded, sheets very old and I dont know how often they were meant to be changed but certainly could have done with some new ones. Towels very old and stained also. Suite was clean when we arrived. Suited our needs but a little disappointing.
