My partner and I just came back from our first cruising experience on RCI's Brilliance of the Seas. I feel the need to write this review in retribution to all the fellow cruisers whose tips and reviews on this website made our Baltic cruise more enjoyable. I hope this information is useful for future cruisers even though our cruise was the last Baltic voyage the Brilliance made this season.

The main reason we chose this particular cruise was the ports of call, and in that sense, the Brilliance and its staff did not disappoint at all, despite the fact that due to bad weather, the last two ports of call (Stockholm and Visby) had to be cancelled and substituted by Gothenburg (a bit dull) and Oslo (nice).

As two young travelers on a certain budget we opted, in general, for the most cost efficient options with regards to transportation (to the port of embarkation and within ports of call), dining options, and shore excursions. Our experience is the following:

Cabin Review

Large Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin I

We stayed in a basic cabin with ocean view in Deck 2, which we thought offered enough space for both of us and our luggage. Impressively, even though our stateroom was located very near the elevators and the area where the Centrum is located (which could get very noisy during the evenings), outside noise didn’t bother us at all.
