This was our first cruise ever and not knowing what to expect, I read a lot of reviews here on Cruise Critic. Now that I am home, I knew that I wanted to give a current and accurate review of our experience; one that reflected my husband's and my views.

First off, I must say that we soon discovered that we are not the "cruise type" of people. The constant hype to constantly spend more money really turned us off. We saw many disadvantaged people coaxed into spending lot of money for "extra" that no one needed. While we may not cruise again, I hope that this review reflects the wonderful time that we did have, while turning a blind eye to the constant nagging to spend more.

Boarding: Wow! Boarding in Seattle on a hot Sunny day was the best ever! The Seattle waterfront is beautiful having a few hours to enjoy the pool deck, explore the ship and enjoy Seattle was perfect. Boarding was a breeze. Everything is so efficient that we only spent about 15 seconds waiting in line during the entire boarding procedure. It felt a lot like lines at Disneyland walking and walking around turns and styles to get to friendly people who would check ID and get us on board. Everyone was friendly and nice.

We were so glad we got a window, we almost did not. I could prop myself with pillows (we had 5) and look out at the ocean at any time, day or night. We left the curtains open so we could rise at first light and go walk the deck as we pulled into ports. Our room was about 4 rooms down from the lobby of elevators. We had no noise at all, except for the last night when crew was organizing suitcases below us. Our room was spotless when we boarded. I had brought wipes to sanitize and clean and I found not a spot on the cloth. I loved the bathroom. The shower was great with tons of hot water.
