As first time cruisers we were pleasantly greeted at the Auckland airport by Princess's transfer to the hotel, the Langham. The hotel was clean and the staff very accommodating. Took the half day tour of the city and dined at the Orbit restaurant in the Sky Tower.

Embarkation was easy and went very quickly given the number of passengers, 2600 on this trip.

Food & Dining experience: The buffet's were adequate with a lot of variety. We ate breakfasts & most lunches there. However, I wish we would have eaten more of the breakfasts and lunches in the International dining room for better service and quality reasons. Dinner's were good but I would not rate them as outstanding except for the lobster and some of the beef dishes we had. Appetizers and salads as well as desserts I found to be above average and I recommend the souffle's. Service was always good.
