My wife and I have cruised many times with CCL and made a last minute decision to take this cruise and wound up with an outside cabin on deck 1, mid-ship.

When we got onboard we really liked the new design and colors. This is not your typical CCL ship, light colors, nice wood, bright elevators. The cabin was spacious and had plenty of shelves and closet space. It even had a full sized shower. The first night though, water would not drain in the shower and the water coming from the shower head changed rapidly from hot to cold so it was hard to shower comfortably. We also developed a sewage kind of smell coming from the other drain in the shower. To flush the toilet we had to add extra water from the sink.

The first night I was unable to sleep as there was a lot of metallic sounds coming from underneath the cabin. In the morning I asked one of the housekeeping service manager and we were informed that there were a lot of steam pipes that ran under our cabin as well as part of the machine shop. During the day we couldn't nap because of the workmen down in the machine shop hammering and banging. The good news was that the second day they moved us to a cabin on deck 2. That was also the bad news.

Cabin Review

Problem with drain in the shower, and the water kept going hot and cold.
