Carnival Conquest - Western Caribbean

Sail Date: February 2007
Destination: Western Caribbean
Embarkation: Galveston

This was our first cruise with Carnival and our third cruise overall (first two on NCL). Embarkation was very smooth. The weather the whole trip was great. At all ports we went to a beach just to relax.

The ship is great and there was never not enough to do or eat. We ate in the main dining room the first night, but ate elsewhere for the rest of the trip. Don't get me wrong, the food and service was great in the dining room, its just that we are spoiled by Freestyle dining and would like to see Carnival do this. It is just to bothersome to come back to the ship after a relaxing day and then have to dress for dinner.

The service on the ship is fantastic. All of the crew was friendly and helpful. We had one instance where there was a double bar charge on our account, but after informing the Purser's desk, the issue was resolved quickly.

We saw the first night show and the French review show and thought they were both great. We did not see any others. We More wish some of the shows were earlier in the evening.

Debarkation was smooth as we did the self-assist method. We got off the ship at 8AM and were in the truck heading home by 8:45.

Overall, the cruise was great and we will definitely sail with Carnival again. Less
