I booked First Choice Cruise Shuttle to Port Canaveral. They had better round trip prices than the Carnival Shuttle & pick up either at the Airport or Hotels near the airport. We started in Port Canaveral Orlando, Florida & visited the following ports: Nassau, The Bahamas; St. Thomas, USM; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Grand Turk; Port Canaveral Orlando, FL.

Embarkation was very good & we had We had a Balcony Room but it was smaller than some other Cruise companies but a very nice room. We felt that the main pool was a little small & thank goodness for the Serenity Pool & Jacuzzi area. They did have Hammacks, recliner chairs & Umbrella Shade Chairs which were great. We took a Shore Excursion in Nassau to the Private Island Beach Day & it was a peaceful, relaxing day at the beach. We watched the people swim with the Dolphins & watched the Sting Rays. The shows were wonderful & the entertainment staff was great. All staff from the Stewards to the Bar staff & the Main Dining room staff were wonderful. The food was fabulous & we think we put on weight from all the food we ate during the cruise. The Steakhouse was excellent from the appetizer to the main course and the desserts. All restaurants on the ship were excellent & the shopping was also very good. I like the Art Auction run by Park West Gallery & won a few things plus bought some art by my favorite artists. I had a bad knee which I injured at the airport & saw the acupuncture doctor which helped me until I got home.

Disembarkation was run very smoothly but had to change our disembarkation letters because of our travel on First Choice Shuttle (which was not a problem. All in all I would travel and recommend Carnival Cruise Lines.

Cabin Review

Cabin Balcony Room Deck 6

We had a Balcony Room on Deck 6 Port Side which was very nice. The stateroom person was very capable & friendly. We were a little shocked at the size of the room but everything had a place to go. My husband has a CPAP machine that he uses to sleep & he had to request an extension cord to plug it in (which he usually must do when we are on a cruise. It would be nice if the cruise companies put a few more electric plugs in the rooms for such users. Our room was 1 floor above the stage shows which were wonderful but some of the people complained that they could hear music from the dancing after the shows. The Comic shows were great with very funny comedians. Overall, we liked our room and had no other complaints.
