We booked this cruise because of the itinerary, it was our first experience with Princess. We researched this ship and looked at other reviews, so I feel we went into it with realistic expectations. The destinations were fantastic, and lived up to what we expected.

Since this is Princess's largest ship currently sailing, we knew we would be dealing with many people. It was an incredibly diverse group with many countries represented. The ship is lovely and nicely appointed. On ship activities were many and varied, something for everyone I think. The service was very good, though not quite up to our past experiences on other cruise lines. Our cabin was very nice, a king size bed, plenty of closet and storage space, and I found the balcony to be fine. Bathroom was a little small but manageable. We had breakfast from room service on most days out on the balcony. Service was prompt and food was good, though choices were the same every day. Cereal, fruit, rolls,, breakfast sandwich, and coffee, tea, milk & juice. It did get a little monotonous, so we went up to the buffet on at sea days.

Getting to the ship from your hotel or the Copenhagen airport is pretty smooth, especially if you have the transfers through Princess. If you are coming from a hotel, a taxi is about your only choice which will run you about 50-60 USD. Took about 30-45 minutes to go through embarkation procedures and get on the ship once we arrived at the terminal. We stayed at the Marriott 2 nights before the cruise, (lovely and good location) and the line for a taxi at 2:00 was long but they managed it well and we only waited about 20 minutes. There is the Hop on Hop off bus which does go to the port terminal, but who wants to schlep all your luggage on the bus and then endure the ride with all the stops? Copenhagen is expensive, so just prepare your mindset for it. $25 for continental breakfast at the Marriott, unless you qualify for their concierge floor where you get a beautiful spread of hot and cold food for breakfast, free wine and appetizers in the evening. Great bonus if that works for you. I covered us for most of our eating needs while we were there.

Cabin Review

Nice room with comfortable king size bed, balcony, large closet with storage, a cabinet with shelves and a safe. Bathroom a little small but manageable. Also 1 chair, a desk and cabinet between the bed and the balcony. I did notice a little more movement on this high deck level when we experienced some rough seas, but it didn't bother my husband. Flat screen TV shows news, movies, tv shows and on board recorded information and events. Being on deck 15 was convenient to get up the one floor to the buffet or the Lido deck where the pool etc. was. We did not use the pool because it was usually too cold in the evening when we would have had time, and the at sea days it was too cold also. There were a lot of people who did though. The mid ship elevators were usually crowded, so we often used the aft elevators and walked back and forth to our cabin, being nearer mid ship.
