It was our first cruise, and we now love cruises. I think being on Celebrity Equinox had a lot to do with it. We are a relatively young couple for cruising 30/32 and we were worried we would find it boring, but we loved every minute of it.

We booked an aqua class room 1533 and we were so glad we did. Blu was OK for dinner (tip: always get thew New dish being offered that evening, the classics can be hit or miss), we loved the other 3 restaurants more. We really loved Blu for breakfast, it was nice to have a big meal on board before before leaving the boat on port days. Also being able to board early, having our bags early, and being able to get off the boat around 9:30 were well worth the extra $$.

The boat is extremely modern and luxuries, just as their brand tag line professes. It's like staying at a 4.5 star resort. We found variety of bars to be fun with Ensemble Lounge being our favorite. The bartender there, Alexandr, was so pleasant and after the first night already had our drinks memorized. There was an issue with the pool "pop-up" bars floating boose (using lower shelf gin in top shelf bottles), but I think that was because it was a charter cruise and these bars don't normally exist, still at $10/drink they should give people what they order.

Cabin Review

Room 1533 was a great location. We spent a lot of time at the pool and this room is just one floor down located near the forward staircase. Generally a quiet part of the boat and the elevator bay close to use was usually less congested. Only in the mornings when people were going to the gym did it seem to get super busy. We never heard anything above us, I believe the facial rooms were above us. We were careful to choose rooms not located underneath the workout or treadmill areas. The room is well appointed, small of course, but well organized with plenty of closet and storage space. The showers were wonderful with the 5 waterspouts and the amazing water pressure. We brought our iPad to watch our shows we like on the TV and fortunately there was an open HDMI port which easily worked with our iPad. Will definitely book Aqua class again on Solstice Ships.
