There are few things to consider when booking a cruise such as this that is very competitive in cost, you must be willing to compensate for what is lacking on board the ship with part of the savings you received in the cost of the cruise. Yes, the pool may be small, and there is no pool side large screen television, but with the savings in the cost of the cruise, you can purchase excursions and other on shore activities to compensate.

There were 5 in our party. Sail date of August 25-30, 2014. We took a cab (mini van) from the airport to the cruise port, cost is $10 per person, with meter off, when 3 or more passengers are riding. Check in process was about 50 minutes. First night and the next day were very rough due to the hurricane off to the east of the ship in the Atlantic. Very calm thereafter. Food is great, activities for kids (we had two kids, 11 and 12) are engaging. One down side is locations of kids activities. The use of the India room next to the casino and smoking session of the ship is not an ideal location for kids and non-smoking adults. Carnival has to reconsider that location for kids activities.

The Motor City and Divas shows were good. I saw one of the comedy shows, was also good.

Cabin Review

Our room was located in the aft of the ship with easy access to the Lido and other activities.
