Just got back from the Mexican Rivera cruise on the Norwegian Star and loved it! Our beginning wasn't pleasant though as Air Canada lost my luggage and I had to power shop same day of cruise. Arrived at San Pedro cruise terminal ay about 11:30a.m. which was crazy, standing in line for an hour and a half to board the ship! If Air Canada hadn't lost my luggage my husband and I would of been on the ship eating lunch since we were in a penthouse suite. Once on our butler Roland greeted us and walked us to our suite. Once inside our suite we knew all was going to be forgotten regarding the luggage. The balcony was huge! We had an AC Category on deck 9. Our butler Roland was the best, looked after us in every way. Had 3 breakfast and 1 dinner in our suite served by Roland. Wasn't too impressed with the concierge though, she was not as friendly as ones we've had in the past.
Got to say that Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas were our favorite ports. Gorgeous ports to say the least. Great shopping too. We went whale watching with our own private driver and saw many whales jumping. Very exciting to see close up. Dining was good in most places we went, but Cagney's steakhouse and Le Bistro were our favorites. Excellent service and steaks to die for. If you get a chance try Ginza Sushi bar at lunch. We had California & Gonzilla rolls. Very fresh and delicious! The ship is beautiful and of course huge, we got lost a few times. My husband won at the casino which was a bonus. He was playing a quarter machine and ended up with $750.00 after his third pull. Lots to do on ship, newsletters are left in your room every evening for next day to view and decide what to do. Loved the cruise so much we re-booked on ship for next year in same suite.
