My wife and I are experienced travelers and have been on several Ocean Cruises ranging from midrange to luxury. We had decided to try a river cruise, taking a 15 night cruise from Basil to Amsterdam

Pre-cruise didn’t get off to a great start as little information is provided on ship port timings or schedules for tours nor how long they lasted, which if we would have known that information we have never booked this particular cruise Romantic Rhine and Moselle. This ended up being mostly time spent on the boat or motor coaches with only 3 days where the boat stayed more than 5 hrs in port. We’re very active and having limited port time was a big disappointment. This cruise doubles back on itself 3 times during the day.. boring.

The Transfer from Zurich to Basil included a 6 hr wait in a hotel meeting room with just snacks. You would think a lunch of some type would have been brought in. Particularly since most of the passengers had been traveling for over 24 hrs from Australia.
