Traveled with children

My family of 6 with 4 young children went on the cruise this past week. The weather was beautiful as the captain tried to sail past the storms. The rooms were spacious but there were signs of wear and tear in the red couches on a ship that was only 2 years old.

Overall, the rooms were very clean and had no signs of humidity. Cleaners always put the AC at full blast after they leave the room. I was happy that I did not buy my beverage package ahead of time because we didn't really need them for my 4 children. We tried to use up the last 4 vouchers on gelato but couldn't finish them. We loved the hot and cold chocolate milk available on the cruise. You have to ask for hot chocolate powder. The drinks from the self serve were very diluted and un appealing to my children.

After reading the reviews..I was surprised about the food. The food was very good at dinner. However, it was true that some food was over cooked. When we asked for rare, it was too raw..when we asked for medium rare...it was hit or miss. The polenta balsamic eggplant at dinner and lobster tail was memorable. The pasta, and short ribs at lunch were excellent...the pizza reminded me of New York style pizza!
