After going on Norwegian for 3 cruises we decided to do Bermuda again out of Boston since it is so convenient. We did Bermuda out of Boston back in 2010 on the Spirit and loved the food and staff on that ship. We couldn't believe the difference 4 years later on the Dawn. The staff seemed not as friendly, instead of having 2 housekeepers per room we had one who didn't seem very happy. We felt bad for him and many others. The main dining room, the Venetian, was always so slow with service. We would wait at least 20 minutes for each course. The food was okay, it was definitely much better on the Spirit or maybe it is a sign of the economy making them cut corners on so many things.

Our stateroom, which is always a balcony, was very tight also. The bathrooms are very small. I cruised on the Carnival Splendor last September and even though I will not sail on Carnival again I have to say that the room and bathroom had more room than on this trip.

Because of a hurricane coming to Bermuda we had to leave a day early. All in all, I think we have sailed enough with Norwegian and are ready to try Celebrity or Royal Caribbean.

Cabin Review
