We were really excited about visiting Alaska and wanted to try sailing NCL for the first time. The first day it was ok, visiting the ports and their options for excursions were good. I do recommend Yukon Territory drive and visiting mendelhall glacier and whale watching in Juneau. You should save for excursions because the ports they visit are small and there is was nothing to do except shopping. Skagway was the smallest.

Now to the ship. First, food, it was good and at the buffet a large variety but what a mess to find a table! There were lot of rude passengers that did not like to make a line. We dined one night at the Italian restaurant and was nice, quite affordable, $15 p/p and food was good. Unscheduled dining is good when you get good service, but when you have to wait more than fifteen minutes for the next course, then it is terrible. You waste too much time dining. The entertainment, what a disaster! Night shows were the most boring, the first three nights my husband and I fell asleep. Many people left before the shows were over. The only thing that saved our cruise experience was the Soccer World Cup transmission. I won't cruise NCL again.
