MSC Divina Cruise observation April 28, 2014…The MSC Divina is Beautiful...It is like an Italian sports car…Probably the third prettiest ship I have been on out of the 10 cruses we have been on (RCI being 1 and 2)…Plenty of areas to take on board photos to take home that would not cost you $20 per photo if you take your own…Everyone owns a camera or at least a phone with a camera right?

The food was not for the typical American unless you love pasta and pizza for every meal...Since it was an Italian ship most of the menus were for those that love pasta and pizza...Not enough meat and potatoes for us on the menus... The times potatoes were on the dinner menu they were over cooked and hard… Specialty restaurants took up a lot of the ships eating areas and they were 98% empty at every meal...This made the basic eating areas very crowed at eating times…MSC $20 and $60’s you to death on the ship for the specially restaurants...The morning menu had pork and beans straight out of a can…The chef needs to look up a southern cook book to find ways to spice them up or at least asked someone from Boston or the South how to fix this…I mixed up some southern type BBQ beans while I was at the table and some guests next to us asked me to doctor up their beans as well…The lunch menu had burgers and fries every day…This was the main meat we had available to us…You had to take the burger in a box and throw away the bread since you were not allowed to select the meat only…

If the MSC line asked me had to fix one of their problems…I would suggest that they turned some of the specialty restaurants into (Price included in the passage fees) ethnic restaurants…Example have one set aside for Hispanic type of foods…One set aside for Asian foods…One set aside for American types of foods…Yes, I know that burgers and fries were on the menu everyday but later after 1800 hours they were not…A sort of drive in type of dinner with chicken wings, nuggets, fries, burger, and hot dogs…They could steal this idea from the Princess cruise line…After 1800 hours the only food available was their specialty cost restaurants the assigned dining areas with set menus or PIZZA…This would elevate some of the overcrowding at dinner times…They already have the eating areas and staff aside to do this…Again, customer service…MSC you asked everyday on how to improve your share of the American Cruise Market…WELL HERE IS ONE WAY…FOOD and not food in a specialty extra charge restaurant…

Cabin Review
