We just returned from our 6th EOS cruise & were not as satisfied as before. As far as the ship, it is still in decent shape & the food was pretty good. We found the entertainment not up to par & repetitive. Our cabin (inside) was on deck 7 & several mornings between 5:30 & 6:00am we were awakened by loud banging. We complained & was told that it was due to the crew preparing for breakfast. First of all we were forward on the ship & the food venues are aft, so that didn't make any sense.
By far the worst part of the cruise was the debarking. What a horror show!! We have been doing the self assist debarkation for years now & NEVER had we experienced this mess before. We had proceeded to our designated waiting area & at 8:10 announced we could proceed to deck one. There was a crowd already gathered there & that's when the fiasco began. To make it short it took us an hour and 40 minutes to arrive on deck 1. There was a lot of shoving & people trying to cut in line & it was very hot. There was never an announcement from any crew members as to why we weren't moving only announcements telling the next group of passengers to proceed to deck 1! All in all it took us 2 hours & 45 minutes to get out of the terminal. It had never taken us longer than an hour total on prior cruises because there was always crew members helping to move things along, but not this time! Our bus was scheduled to leave at 10:00 but didn't leave til 11:15. Needless to say there were a lot of unhappy people!
