Variety Voyager was advertised as a 'luxury' vessel. It isn't. We did two cruises on this small ship - Venice to Athens and Athens to Istanbul in July - , back to back. On the first leg we had the second best level of cabin which was extremely disappointing. The sheets weren't changed once! At night during the turn down service, towels were folded and put up on the rack in the bathroom, damp! The room was tiny with the bathroom door opening directly onto the bottom of the bed.

On the second leg of the trip, we had been lucky enough to secure one of the top level of cabin - after the Owners' Suite, which was one of seven. It was much better and the sheets were changed, and I'm pretty sure the towels were changed daily. Why the different level of service to people traveling on the same ship? Or did they read our first leg feedback sheet. The cabin staff were too few and overworked. English was not a strong point.

On arrival to join the ship in Venice, many of the passengers boarding commented on the clearly visible rust on the bow hull and anchor. And this on a ship purported to be 2 years old.

Cabin Review

Cabin 206 and 306

206 is tiny, although rated a a high level category,. 306 is much better, quite spacious, and well serviced
