This was our 2nd cruise out of Galveston, or first was 2005, boy things have gotten worse. Granted this is our 7 total cruise, we are not rookies, but the logistics in Galveston have taken a turn for the worst. Making people stand outside for hours before security is inhumane in south Texas. Once on the boat, just as others have said, with the auto tip, there is very little incentive for great service. The staff gets paid. The staff size has dropped, so you you have fewer people cleaning, fewer people cooking, the shows are weak, the ice rink is a real stinker (other than being a great place to beat the heat).

I think this ship is getting old, and really needs to go to Europe or somewhere the smaller ships do better, but once you have been on a big modern ship, you are sorely disappointed at the Navigator.

Roatan Jolly Roger catamaran was great, Belize snorkel trip was a bummer, they packed 50 people in a dingy to take us to snorkel site, very uncomfortable.
