We sailed on the MSC Dvina, this was the worst service by far on any cruise I have ever been on!. When you first boarded the ship there was no music or any drinks served or any smiling faces greeting you. Our stateroom wasn't ready until 9:00 PM and I didn't receive my luggage until 11:00PM. None of our waiters in the dining room spoke or understood English which was very difficult. The food was mediocre at best! On Lobster night they cut you off after 3 tails and when asked for drawn butter they put a pad of butter in the bowl with water!! We never met or spoke with our cabin steward, did not get clean towels 2 days and never had ice in our bucket. I had to find another cabin steward and get some. The buffet lines were insane, absolutely no organization anywhere, when the coffee was out and the Orange Juice they told us to go to the front and get some from there.

NO ONE smiled EVER! The bosses of the crew members yelled at them and embarrassed them in front of the guests all the time. Every time we asked for anything they told us to basically get it ourselves. The only friendly crew members were the casino dealers and the pool bartenders. Getting off on the private island was a joke, we had to get a ticket and wait for our letter to be called I have never seen that on any other cruise line before. When we stopped at St Maarten and Puerto Rico there were no pictures being taken off the ship and the most rude attendants not even speaking to us or saying have a great time. Right next to us was the Norwegian Getaway ship and they had loud music, taking pictures and when they returned they had cold towels for their guests, cold water, and many smiling faces asking them how their day was!

The entire ship did not speak or understand English and they catered to the Europeans and treated Americans like crap. The ship was overbooked and the crew members were obviously frustrated and took it out on the guests. We had 4 members in our party that this was their first cruise and what a horrible impression of cruising! We had a party of 11 and we requested to all sit together and they told us they could not accommodate us. In our party we had someone proposing and the Maitre d' in the Black Crab Restaurant was yelling at my son in law saying I'm not allowed to put tables together and told him to help him move the tables! It was unbelievable! The only positive on the ship was the decor, it was beautiful and the shows were amazing and the cabins were nice and spacious. I will NEVER cruise this line again!
