My friend and I sailed on the Triumph last week and had a great time. Embarkation was mindless and very fast. My advice is to get to the ship early (we arrived at 11:30 am) so you don't have to wait on long lines. As they say, the early bird catches the worm. Once we were on the ship, we quickly located our room and were impressed with the space. We had an extended balcony because of the placement of the room. It was a bonus, but truthfully unnecessary. The nice part of the room was the extra closet space for unloading.

We then went to lunch and realized that the buffet was rather good. You can't expect five-star quality food, therefore, if you don't you will be quite happy. The lines, for the most part, were relatively short. I never had a problem waiting on long lines, as some may say. There were many choices with respect to food selection. Didn't have the NY Deli or the chinese food, but it did look very good, too. Dinner was also rather good too, lots of variety for the picky eater.

The shore excursions were my absolute favorite. It really gave me something to look forward to beyond being on the ship. Our first excursion was Cozumel, Mexico. We went to Playa Mia Beach Break for a few hours, which was nothing great. If you're looking to get some sun and also want to swim with the dolphins, then I would suggest going to the dolphin park only because they also have a place to lie out as well. Basically you're saving yourself a lot money because you're are expected to pay the entrance fee at the dolphin park, too. Swimming with the dolphins was definitely something I will never forget. Playa Mia is truly a waste of money in my opinion. The lunch buffet was not that good. Our next port of call was Grand Cayman. What a beautiful place to experience. We did scuba diving as our excursion and loved every moment of it. Our last port of call was Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Here we did Dunn's River Falls and river tubing. Both were a lot of fun and worth every penny. The falls are beautiful and just the right thing to mix things up from being at sea. Be very careful with the shops in Jamaica. If you don't already know this, they will try to sell you everything and anything. Just say no and keep walking. I was a bit turned off because of that experience in Jamaica, but I can't say I wasn't prewarned by friends.
