This was my 13th cruise, of which 2 were with Princess. I was amazed how good the food was in all the venues, even the dinner buffet we visited often. This cruise was very port intensive, and some days sitting in the main dining room was just extra time we didn't want to lose. All the personnel throughout the ship were very helpful and pleasant the entire cruise. I have never made this typoe of comment before about staff. However, we were told by some employees that the Captain runs a tight ship and there is no tolerence for being lazy, bad attitudes, or not having a smile! How very refreshing if all the Captains ran their ships this way in the future!

The ship is beautiful and the main atrium is stunning, and the best I have ever seen. Our inside room was spacoius and laid out well. The standard balconies on the ship did appear smaller than average. The design of the ship flowed pretty well except for the small elevators throughout the ship, and no stairs in the middle of the ship. So, don't book your room midship unless you like waiting a long time for a elevator. Once on any elevator, you usually stopped at every floor, and people many times gave up waiting and were not there anymore to get on.

I really liked the Bistro on deck 5 that had yummy salads, warm sandwiches, and desserts just waiting for you after your shore excursion. The water light show was nice, but the shows were 7-10 minutes, and not Bellagio Fountains by any means. That said, for how little the fountain was actually on, the space could be used for something better. The ships horns play the love boat theme when leaving the port, and that was pretty cool feature! The movies on the huge screen , by the pool deck, was also a great experience. The entertainment was ok, unfortunally the ship dancers had a hard time dancing in time with each other. The best performance was the Russian folk dancers from St. Petersburg! These people sang and twirled, flipped, and danced to perfection! Overall, really enjoyed the cruise and would sail on the Royal Princess again!

Cabin Review

Great cabin forward, spacious, and close to stairs.
