Seabourn Odyssey Cruise Review by CPoulter: Happy cruiser

Embarkation: Athens (Piraeus)
This was our first ocean cruise, we had previously been on 3 river cruises.
We travelled on the Seabourn Odyssey - Turkey, Greece & Adriatic Gems in July 2014.
The journey began with comprehensive pre cruise information package, outlining all the information one would require, from ship information, visa requirements , ship board life , shore excursions etc. a lot was promised could they deliver?
This cruise far exceeded our expectations. From seamless embarkation, prompt deliver of luggage , excellent food, plenty of choice to suit every taste. Variety of restaurant styles from formal to casual patio dining. Very roomy cabin (706) . Seabourn square was the place to get the best coffee on the ship.
Entertainment was good and varied and the CD Sophie and her assistant Jemma were exceptional.
We visited a different Port every day, some by tender, luckily we had good weather. The excursions were adequate and varied, some of the smaller More ports had only one choice. Overall good but maybe on the expensive side. With enough planning most could be organised independently.
The staff are Seabourn's best asset, well trained, professional, friendly and it was nice to be addressed by name, not bad with 450 passengers on board.
There were more children on the ship than we expected , as this was a small luxury ship we felt it really diid't cater for them. They were well behaved and no bother. (The average age was 55+).
Disembarkation was also handled in the same organised and professional manner we had come to expect.
We are now in the planning stages of our next holiday on Seabourn. We are well seasoned travellers and are not easily impressed. Thank you Seabourn Less

Very clean, well presented, and spacious . Bathroom large, bath a bonus. Plenty of storage.
Be careful where your room is.
