Best of Baltic

Sail Date: May 2014
Destination: Baltic Sea
Embarkation: Southampton

As Celebrity is one of the Cruise Companies who do not restrict use of a mobility scooter it was a pleasure to enjoy the hospitality presented by all the crew. From embarkation to disembarkation our cabin steward could not have been more attentive. Antonio was there when he heard the bleeper as I reversed out of our cabin to give his assistance.

Dining room staff insisted on me riding right to our table and parking the scooter for me. Our bus boy from Peru, on his first ever cruise, serving a table of 10, coped very well after his first couple of days. He was off 1 day (sea sick). He loved parking the scooter.

Ports of call were exceptional, facilitating the use of the scooter except for Stockholm but we were able to board a tour boat which accessed various drops in the harbour. Copenhagen and its Mermaid has a lovely waterfront. Better than doing the city tour.

We have sailed on the Equinox and the Eclipse and they do deserve the high rating given. The More ships are beautiful and the deck plans are marvelous. Theatre provides disabled seating and there is nowhere were the view is restricted.

Looking forward to our next cruise in October. Less

Cabin review: Celebrity Eclipse 7238

Plenty of space but limited draw storage. Like a mini-suite with coach and mini-bar and tea/coffee making, well stocked. Dressing gown provided and shower stool provided, as requested.
