Pros: Wonderful ship decor. Attentive staff. Main dinning room cuisine was excellent and menu options were adequate. The specialty restaurant "David's" served perhaps the best meal I've ever had. Ledo restaurant Pizza and Deli Sandwiches were always excellent. The entertainment was excellent. The dancers and singers were very good and the comedians were entertaining.
The Ledo buffet was pure chaos. The Ledo serving positions were located in such a way it took days to remember which serving areas were serving what. Many guests were wondering around during the cruise trying to determine which food was where. Lines were long in Ledo for breakfast because only one server was making omelets even though the Ledo dinning area had another grill where omelets were supposed to be made. The restaurant seemed under staffed in general.
The Captain? Where was he? This is the first cruise I ever went on where he did not at least introduce himself and his officers. More
Photographers: Every cruise has them. This cruise had them everywhere. They virtually had studios set up in the lounge areas every day so you had to pass them on the way to your evening meal.
Tours: We took a tour in Port Canaveral to Sea World. We enjoyed Sea World but the transportation back from Sea World was a bus with no air conditioning. Making it a miserable trip back to the ship. The exact same thing happened on a tour to the beach in Freeport. The bus that returned us to the ship was old and dirty with no air conditioning. The driver was nasty to boot. The costs of these tours was quite high too.
This is the first cruise we've been on where the staff did not ask you to fill out a questionnaire critiquing the cruise before departing the ship. That tells me they don't care what kind of experience you had.
Recommendation: First time cruisers would enjoy this cruise. Less
