When we got caught in the total chaos of the boarding process in Galveston we should have known there would be problems on the cruise. When we finally got to our cabin and needed to talk to our cabin steward we were told the stewards were not on duty until 5 p.m. After 36 cruises on other cruise lines this was unbelievable. The steward and the general service staff on the ship were very pleasant and hard working but way too few of them.
There were long lines everywhere for everything. The buffet was so crowded and slow we almost gave up going there. they closed the buffet at 9 p.m. each night and the only place to go for a snack was the "cafe" which had huge lines and only one person waiting on people. This was also the only place on the ship where you could self-serve yourself a glass of tea or water. There were very few activities for mature adults on board. Needless to say we will not be sailing on Royal Caribbean again.
Cabin Steward was very attentive and pleasant. Cabin should have been listed as "obstructed view" as there were wide metal strips in front of the balcony and the entire back of the ship blocking the view
