My husband and I traveled with our 12 and 16 yr old sons. It was my 4th cruise and their second. This was my first cruise on Norwegian and my friend who is a professional cruise planner recommended this cruise and ship for us. None of us had ever been to Alaska. We rented a mini-suite on the 11th floor right below the arcade/kids' clubs. We stayed the night before at Hotel Nexxus as they offer a park and cruise package that let's you keep your car at the hotel for the week and they take you and pick you up from the port. This was a good hotel, a bit spendy like all Seattle hotels but had a great breakfast, and was very close to a nice mall..

The first thing I noticed about the ship was how easy it is to find your way around! The layout is great and We never got tired of walking around and exploring. Our room was perfect with comfortable beds, a bath tub, and a great balcony which is so important to capture the breathtaking views of Alaska. It was very quit which surprised us because the arcade was right above us. My husband and I bought the week long spa membership and this was the best purchase we've ever made!! The spa is amazing, the staff even more amazing, and the view from the windows was something I would describe as magical. They also have heated ceramic loungers which were unbelievable. I got 4 massages, my hair done, and the Dysport treatment which I've never had. All were top notch. My husband had 3 massages and my son had one and a facial. We loved the spa beyond words!! The exercise room is nice too and I even did yoga my first time. It didn't hurt that the instructor was a gorgeous guy from another country ;)

The buffet and room service were wonderful. We ate at Cagneys Steakhouse one night. It was well worth the extra cost. We also tried both dining rooms and they were good as well. The entertainment on the ship was fun! O What A Night was all of our favorite (even my kids) and Bingo was a blast to play in the gorgeous lounge. I even won 3 times!
