Sail Date: Jul 2014

I was a little concerned reading these reviews before our holiday but having now returned from our trip there was absolutely nothing to worry about.

Our group consisted of 3 couples (30/40 year olds). This was our third cruise having sailed with Carnival and Royal Caribbean in the past and this was definitely the youngest cruise we have been on and the busiest night club at sea we have ever seen. There was a good mixture of nationalities on board, Italian, Dutch, Spanish, German, English, French.

Embarkation didn’t go as smoothly as on previous cruises, no fault of MSC though, this was due to a festival in Venice and not allowing cruise ships into the terminal. We arrived for check in at around 10.30am and were given a check in number. As the ship wasn’t docked at this port we had to wait to be transferred to the ship via water taxis so the terminal got quite busy and crowded. We didn’t get to the ship as early as we had hoped but it seemed to be quite organised and got there in the end.
