There were many things I liked about the Ryndam and our first HAL experience - the crew were excellent; genuinely friendly and helpful, our room was of a generous size, hygiene in the Lido was very good indeed - Cunard/Celebrity take note, our stewards were the best yet... but...but...

The food itself in the dinning room was frankly 'orrible and even when we mentioned it was burnt and inedible nothing was done about it - we relied on the Neptune Lounge for sustenance, not ideal and they looked aghast that we actually enjoyed/prefer dining offshore.

It didn't enhance our holiday to have to supervise our 16 year old son (who competes at an high level in various sports) in the gym for an hour every day - terrible message to send out to teenagers trying to live an healthy lifestyle.
