Sail Date: Jul 2014

Just came back from my 2nd cruise this year. The first was the Carnival Splendor, the second was the Norwegian Breakaway. I had high expectations for NCL as it came highly recommended by several people. The boat itself is gorgeous and it has ALOT of amenities, however that all comes at a price. The staff itself was very nice and accommodating and truly made you feel at home. However, I do have some qualms and warnings for folks who are considering NCL as their next trip.

Compared to the Carnival cruise I took this year, NCL is a rip off. They advertise having 6 comp Restaurants, but all it really is 6 different locations for basically the same exact menu. If you want a true variety, you have to pay additional for the 'specialty restaurants.'

Secondly, no place on the website states that there is a cover charge for the ice bar, which by the way is pathetic, it's literally a small room that feels cramped when there is 10 ppl in there. You expect to pay for drinks when going to a bar, but for the price of the Cruise Fare, there should be no cover charges for bars.
