Embarkation: We parked at the Diamond parking lot and took the shuttle to the terminal. It was relatively easy to drop off our bags at the baggage drop. There were very long lines after that. We were told to check in between noon and 3pm. Maybe everyone else had been told the same thing. After we got on board the ship we were told our room were ready.
Stateroom: We had a balcony cabin. It was on the Aloha deck aft and we found the location very convenient for the Horizon court. It did seem small but we got used to it and were happy to have a balcony. We did not have any noise in this location. Our stateroom attendant did the minimum required of him. The only requests we had were a top sheet and extra towels. We had to go to the supervisor to get the top sheet and I gave up on the extra towels. I just went to the pool area and picked up towels from there. We always tip extra but did not this time. It seems strange to take a position that relies on tips but do nothing to merit it.
Dining: The Horizon Court is the weak point on this ship. It is not big enough to handle the passenger load. It was very crowded and the food is not great - especially breakfast. On the plus side, the waiters are really nice. We had anytime dining and found that it worked great if we were willing to eat early. The Italian night and second formal night had good menus. If you want prime rib it is on the first night. We had a voucher to eat at Sabatini's which we enjoyed. We also went to the pub lunch. We had fish & chips. Not a lot of fish but I guess you could have more if you wanted.
