We flew to Ft. Lauderdale the day prior to sailing in case of bad weather delays coming out of Boston. Stayed at the Comfort Suites as they offered 2 queen beds and free shuttle service to the cruiseport. we are a family of 2 adults and 2 boys ages 12 and 14. This worked out great for us and we arrived at the ship at 12 noon.

We boarded without any delays at all and proceeded to the Windjammer for lunch. Very good assortment of food, something for everyone. Service was good and everyone was very helpful and pleasant. After lunch we found our cabins (7092 and 7094) that connected. We were pleased with the comfortable bedding and enjoyed having balconies. Plenty of room for our clothes too! Ivailo was our cabin steward and was very efficient. Main dining room was a pleasant experience and we enjoyed our waiter(Ajay) who was great! Food there was also good (except breakfast on the last morning). we enjoyed all breakfasts in the Windjammer and all dinner in My Fair Lady. Ate 1 dinner in Chops and loved it. Great service and great food.

In Jamaica, I had arranged our own excursion(not thru the ship) to H'Evans Scent which was a combo of ATV and Ziplines. We were picked up at the dock and traveled 30 minutes straight up a mountain to get there! Gorgeous location and views. Staff was safety first all the way and very pleasant. They also took us on a nature walk and served us lunch with drinks that was very tasty. I would suggest children have experience with ATV's although it is not required but part of the tour takes you on difficult terrain. Our excursion in Grand Cayman was booked thru the ship and was the 7 mile beach break at a hotel with outdoor buffet lunch. The only good thing about this excursion was the beautiful ocean to swim in. It was fantastic! The hotel was run down, the beach was mobbed. One chair next to another packed into a small area like sardines. The lunch was horrible and the lady serving it was rude. If you can find a beach along the 7 mile strip elsewhere, do it as it is truly beautiful. Getting on and off the ship at both destinations was another mob scene. Like moving herds of cattle thru small areas very, very slowly. Getting back on later in each day was fine as it was staggered naturally. You have 2 days at sea which were our least favorite times as there was not a lounge chair to be had anywhere right after breakfast. This was our Feb. vacation week and the ship was full.
