This was the first cruise for my sister and me. We absolutely loved it! We flew from Toronto, Canada to Fort Lauderdale and then had a bus transfer to Miami Pier. We waited in many lines but that is to be expected. We didn't get to the Carnival building till about 1 pm and the lines were moving steady. We were on the ship within half an hour of getting off the bus. We were amazed at the Lobby of the ship. The elevators overlooking the piano bar and the glittery lights. It all looked just as good as the brochures portrayed it. We bought the drink of the day and headed up to find our room. Easy enough to find and it was ready for us. So we dropped the luggage we had and headed up to the South Beach Club for food. There was always lots of places to find food on this vacation. The pizza was so delicious and always warm. The deli had any kind of sandwich we wanted. The grill was always ready with a plate of fries and a burger when we had the craving. We really liked how each day the buffet had a theme like Greek, or Mexican food. Each day was a different menu and always lots of variety. The dining room food was unique too. Our dining steward-Luis-was a real gem. He always treated us well and his partner Stephania was good at keeping us supplied with fresh drinks. We went to the dining room every night and even danced a couple of times with all the servers. Lots of fun and laughs.

We really appreciated Lance - the Super Shopper Guide. We followed all of his advice for shopping at the different ports. We learned so much about gemstones and jewelry. He is just a wealth of information. All of the staff on this ship were so friendly and helpful. We felt comfortable talking to anyone at anytime. Our room steward was Pitchit. He always made our beds in the morning and turned them down at night. He made a new towel animal for us each night and he would stop and talk to us when we saw him. Very friendly and a real friend. Our balcony was very spacious and clean. We ate there quite often. The cabin was a little cold. Felt like the air conditioner was turned up too high but we could not figure how to regulate it. Ok though, we spent alot of time outside anyways and at night we cuddled up with our duvets. The beds are soooo comfy. Almost better than my bed at home. Our cruise director was Chris Jefferson. Fabulous! Good sense of humor and a pleasure to listen to. He took good care of us and was never too busy to say hi or have a picture taken. We found the prices on the ship to be very reasonable. liquor prices were great. Also the jewelry shop had lots of good deals and special sales at specific times. Had to study our schedule of events and pick and choose the activities we wanted to see. Lots going on and just couldn't do it ALL!

We only did one shore excursion and that was in Cozumel. The dolphin swim at Chankanaab Park. It was pricey but a once in a lifetime opportunity for us. The park was hit by a storm so it has just recently been rebuilt and beautifully landscaped. Check it out... We cant say enough about the ship, the staff, the activities. We would sail Carnival again, without a doubt.
