Dubrovnik was very small. It was not easy competing with the masses to flag down a cab by the bus terminal. Although walking the wall was not too challenging, we wished we would have only walked the section by the sea for the views. We did the cable car and it took awhile waiting in line. It is nice to spend a little time at the café on top of the mountain and enjoy the awesome view.

Dubrovnik

We rented an Avis car in Civitavecchia and drove to Orvieto and Civita di Bagnoregio which we liked even better than Orvieto. This was not hard to do and we enjoyed the entire day on our own.

Rome (Civitavecchia)

We went to Capri on our own for the whole day. If you go, take the boat ride around Capri. Our boat stopped at the Blue Grotto and transferred anyone who wanted to go in to another boat before we continued on.

Naples

Kotor was our favorite port for the sail-in and sail-out. Once there, we explored the Old Town. We thought we would get a boat to ‘Our Lady of Rocks’ but couldn’t find a boat that wasn’t too expensive for two people. We wished we had booked an excursion through the ship.

In Split, we walked the Old Town. Then we walked along the small harbor to a park and back to the harbor for a banana split at one of the cafes.

In Malta, we took the Segway Tour ship excursion which took us to the Dingli Cliffs. It was fun, easy (we're in our mid-60's) and worth doing. The Dingli Cliffs are very scenic. We were able to see some of the architecture in Mdina from the bus on the way. Afterward, we had time in the afternoon to walk around Valletta’s Old Town.

Our cabin was mid-ship on the hump behind the partition for the elevators. It was very quiet with no noise from the elevators. yet very convenient. It is also very close to the card room.

In Venice for an overnight, we were able to reserve a taxi for the morning to go to the airport.Food and service in the main dining room was good.
