Sail Date: Jul 2014

My husband and I cruised on the Legend on July 13, 2014. The information I gained from fellow cruise critic posts helped make our cruise more enjoyable. We spent the night prior to the cruise at the Comfort Inn Airport that has a cruise and park package for $110 that includes your room, leaving your car on their grounds and transportation to and from the pier. Our driver even loaded and unloaded our bags. We are going to look for this type of hotel package on future cruises.

The Carnival staff was helpful and friendly. Our cabin steward was very attentive. Our ocean view room seemed larger than previous ocean view rooms on other ships we have cruised on. The food was good and we loved the 24 hr ice cream. We enjoyed the shows and comedians. Epic Rock and Illusion were our favorites, In Cancun we just shopped at and around the pier. I did not get off the boat in Belize. My husband did but said he did not feel safe outside of the cruise terminal. Some of our dinner companions took the Eco-tour and said they enjoyed it. We enjoyed Carnival's man made beach in Mahogany Bay. It is best to get to the beach first thing because it got really crowded by mid-day, so we headed back to the ship. We took the nature trail back and it was uncrowded and offered several spots with benches or swings to sit and enjoy the scenery. Following the advice of cruise critic members we used the city bus system in Grand Cayman, which is only $2.50 per person. We took the bus to Cemetery Beach which is at the end of the 7 mile beach. It was beautiful and uncrowded and then we took the bus to Hell so my husband could send a post card. We took the bus back to the pier terminal after that and took the short tender ride back to the ship. A few minor disappointments were that the Serenity pool was closed by 6 the last night of the cruise and that when we went to a cabana on the side deck, staff closed off the children's water play area near by and started washing down those decks and getting water on us and definitely not providing the serene atmosphere we hoped to enjoy for our last cruise sunset. Also for the last two nights of our cruise there was a clanging noise during the night that seemed to be coming from outside above our window, but we were able to block it out with white noise and sleep fairly well. As I said earlier it was overall a very nice cruise that was enhanced by information I picked up from cruise critic. Thanks fellow members!

Cabin Review

Seemed larger than cabins on some other ships and was clean and comfortable. Near elevators and we did have lots of children running down the halls, but this ended by midnight. Some type of clanging noise that seemed to be coming from outside and above our cabin started the last 2 days, but we were able to block it out with white noise.
