This is my first attempt at writing a cruise critic review as we are relatively new to cruising. We returned on Saturday, February 17, from a 10 day Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Noordam. Our only previous cruise was a 7-day cruise on the Caribbean Princess last February. I joined Cruise Critic at that time, and have been somewhat active since booking our cruise on the Noordam last September, and started our Roll Call at that time.

I want to thank all of you who helped make our cruise so much more enjoyable, particularly with great tips on what to bring on board.

Hometown Motor Coach: We opted in for transportation from Boston to NYC, and then home again at the end of the cruise. Our limo picked us up at 5 AM and dropped us at South Station in Boston. The Academy Coach arrived at 6:15 AM for a 6:30 AM departure. The bus driver was quite chatty and had named me co-pilot as I'd taken the front seat, so there was no sleeping for me on this journey. After stops to pick up passengers in Providence, New London, and New Haven, and by that time, we had 42 pax aboard. We stopped for a 20 minute "coffee break" in Milford on I95, and then were on our way to NYC and arrived at approximately 12:30 (the traffic in the city was quite congested and it took a while to get through the mayhem).
