This was a beautiful remodeled ship. The embarkation was seamless, the staff was very friendly, the ship was always clean, the food was very good. We got on in Port Canaveral on 7/14/14. The staff in the terminal was very efficient and friendly. We were traveling with someone who had a walker and needed a wheel chair to board. We arrived at about 11:30, were met by someone right away by the elevator and taken care of by very competent and quick people. We arrived in the Windjammer by 12:30, seated and our room #8608 was ready at 1:00. The ship is small enough to navigate and we found our room very easily. Our room was a handicapped room and was larger and more spacious than I have ever had on any other ship. We had dinner in the My Fair Lady dining room at 5:45. The main reason for our cruise was to celebrate our friends 75th birthday and their seating was at 5:45 and our cruise was set up for the 8:30 seating. The staff was very helpful with changing our seating to the early one on the first night.
We visited Coco Cays on Tuesday the 15th of July and we stayed on the ship. Breakfast in the Windjammer was just delicious! Not too crowded because most people got off the ship. The rest of the day was filled with just relaxing and some trivia in the Bolero lounge, all in all a very nice day. Went to the buffet in the Windjammer for dinner because it was formal night. They told us that we could have gone with what we were wearing but we chose not to. The buffet had almost the same thing as the dining room and lots of choices to choose from. We decided to attend the show that night and that was not so good, some of the singers were not the best. The casino had the most slot machines that I have ever seen on a ship and this was my 7th cruise.
The next day, the 16th of July, we pulled into Nassau and we decided to get off and go to the Straw Market, lots of things to look at and some to buy. That night we decided to go to the Main dining room for the first time. Our head waiter new all of our names before we said them and said that if we did not show up soon, he would come looking for us, needless to say I was impressed.
The next day, the 17th of July was a sea day. The Windjammer was very crowded in the morning since there was no where else to go for everyone, but one of the staff found us a table. I have to say that the staff does many things with the passengers and gets many to participate which was very nice. We went to the buffet again that last night.
The last day, disembarkation day did not go as well as the rest of the cruise. Since we had a person that needed a wheel chair to get off we were told to wait by the Centram elevators on deck 6. Our luggage tag green #10 was supposed to be called of the ship by 8:40 and we had to be on deck 6 15 minutes before hand. There were appox 10 people who need wheel chairs and the one girl that they assigned this task did not do a very good job of organizing this. She only had 1 person lined up to bring people down to the terminal and she had no other wheel chairs lined up for this task. The passenger were getting very impatient including us. We complained to the passenger desk but got nowhere with this. By the time they finally got to us it was 9:15, which isn't such a long time but was just so frustrating to have to wait. All in all except for disembarkation, the cruise was very nice. Our room attendant, Leroy did an excellent job. We met lots of nice people that were on the staff in the dining rooms and many other places on the ship. I would definatly got again with RCL in the future.
