My husband and I are on a limited budget, but this cruise enabled us to travel, to enjoy fine dining, to enjoy the shows and get thoroughly spoiled at a price we could afford. Embarkation was well organised. Our cabin was small but there was enough space, the food was good, the crew were excellent, the shows were of a much higher standard than I'd been expecting. Dining room, lounge areas and the lido deck were kept clean and tidy, despite some guests leaving things in a mess. We enjoyed the ports, particularly snorkelling at Mystery Island and Isle of Pines. That was amazing. For the most part, the other passengers were friendly. There were a lot of kids on board, but most of the ones we struck were polite and well behaved. The big negative of the cruise was when a crew member was lost overboard. However, the crew handled the situation sensitively and appropriately. We were disappointed to miss Port Denerou, but that was not Carnival's fault. We both experienced more seasickness than we thought we would, but it got better after the first day or two. Would I recommend Carnival Spirit for a holiday? Absolutely.

Cabin Review

Our cabin was on deck seven and right up near the front of the ship. Next time we will try and get a cabin in the middle of the boat, which doesn't move around so much. We spent little time in our cabin when awake, because we felt queasy while we were there.
