NEVER again will we cruise with Celebrity. This was our 2nd cruise on 'Eclipse' with the line and standards have fallen alarmingly. The ghastly muzak at 5am on the open decks, enforced 'jolity' - it felt all too depressingly like a holiday camp. One of the ladies we were sitting with found hair in the food four times over the course of the cruise - she pointed it out once, and was so overwhelmed with the 'sorry' schtick she didn't dare mention it again.

Port times were a joke - well, not if you'd contracted to hire a car in Iceland... and far too many sea days...can you hear the tills ringing? The little Smyrill line ferry does better both on food and service.

Too late to book a suite (which imo are very poor value compared to many other cruise lines) we ended up in concierge - dear goodness they are TINY for the money. We did have a very good steward tho - the beauteous Isadora - better than many 'butlers' we've had before.
