Sail Date: Mar 2013

Will NOT Sail on Epic a Second Time! Have been on about 15 Cruises. Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Carnival and NCL. Our preference is NCL. Have sailed on the Pearl, Sky, Star and Gem. Will be taking a Cruise on the Getaway in September, 2014.

While the Weather has not always been as we would have wished, have always enjoyed sailing with NCL. March, 2013 we took a 7 Day Caribbean Cruise on the Epic. The Intimate appeal of the Spiegel Tent was Great and the grouping together of many of the Entertainment Venues was Very Convenient. The Cabin (Balcony) was as comfortable as on any of the other ships, with the exception of the "Open" Sink Design (Bad Plan). The Epic's problem is not just its size, but its "Enclosed Feel". The Ship has the Design of a Large "Hotel" The Ship made us feel as though we were always "Indoors".....NOT what we look for when taking a Cruise on the Ocean!...Like staying at one of those HUGE Vegas Resorts where your Vacation's Over by the time you figure out how to get back to your room!.. Here is where the CONFUSION come in..........Why would one of the LARGEST Ships Afloat, have the SMALLEST POOLS??......Postage Stamp in Comparison!
