We spent the night before in Vancouver at the Delta Suites because it was walking distance to the ship. Embarcation was long because we had to go through USA customs in addition to the usual steps the cruise company requires. Our luggage was delivered right away. Very smooth sailing on a beautiful ship. Our room on the Caribe deck C 512 was very nice had a large balcony that was partially covered. The shower was the smallest ever. It is more like a tube and often the bathroom floor get wet. Plenty of activities for us, our kids and grandchildren. The activities staff was very pleasant and fun All the tours we booked with and without the ship went smoothly. We loved the ERA helicopter to the Norris to glacier to go dog sledding the white pass railroad trip was relaxing and such beautiful scenery.June 20 was too early for the salmon run . We fished for 4 hours and only caught a rock fish that we fed to the eagle. The food in the dining room was great and service very good also. Olga and Sandra made a wonderful team. In the dining room. Our dinner in the specialty Italian restaurant was exceptional with both food and the service. The gluten free diet for one child would have gone more smoothy if there was a printed gluten free menu. Instead the waiter would bring the menu for the next day and decide what to order with the parent. This took several visits from the waiter and was distracting. It was also challenging in the buffet. Main desks clerks are not fluent in Engish and their computers are slow, so allow enough time to deal with any issues. Getting off in Whittier was easy because we kept our luggage and pulled it off with us. What an interesting tunnel you must go through to get to Anchorage. It is truly a one lane very long tunnel. Stopping at the wildlife park was enjoyable. We decided to rent a RV at GAH instead of the cruisetour because we wanted to do our own thing. We had a great time at Denali going on the park bus to Wonder Lake and saw a grizzly nursing her cubs Whitewater rafting was a blast.

Cabin Review

Cabin was attractive with large deck partially covered. The shower is way too small with a plastic curtain and most days the bathroom floor gets wet.
