I am a regular Celebrity cruiser and the ship and ports on this cruise exceeded my expectations. I arrived 3 days before departure to see Venice because I hadn't been there before and the ship would only spend 1 day in Venice on the return journey. I found 3 days to be plenty to see all the sites. Lots of cruise ships in port meant it was crowded but it's an easy city to walk around. I highly recommend teh Doge's Palace Secret Itineraries Tour as it goes behind the scenes. Also suggest you book 'skip the queue' for St Mark's Cathedral to avoid a very long wait.

Embarkation was the smoothest I've ever experienced with Celebrity. The Silhouette is elegantly designed and my cabin had a larger than standard balcony given it was on the 'hump'. I ate most meals in the Dining room at fixed 6:30 seating and the food was excellent. Only once did I complain about some veal and the waiter brought me a very good steak within 5 minutes. One note of caution with all the 'classic drinks' specials - you will find the wines by the glass have been 'downgraded' and I didn't enjoy any of the 3 limited white wine choices in the dining room. The buffet had a pinot grigio that was drinkable but I elected to upgrade for $10/day to the Premium package where I could choose from 14+ wines by the glass. They have also discontinued sparking mineral waters as part of the classic package. Upgrade was well worth it!

My opinion of the entertainment on this cruise is mixed. I liked the first comedian and the two celebrity singers shows but the remainder of the talent was mediocre.

Cabin Review

Great cabin with lots of extra space on the balcony and internally due to the lshape/layout of the room (on the hump). Near elevators which is convenient. Very comfortable bed. No noise. Bath products are very basic and hair dryer is not powerful.
