A Wonderful Adventure!

Sail Date: June 2014
Destination: Alaska
Embarkation: Whittier

Prior to cruising on the Coral Princess, we embarked on a 7 day land tour(also with Princess Tour T4AGB5).

We enjoyed every destination and activity including the additional excursions we booked. The Riverboat Discovery cruise was fantastic in that we saw so much in the Fairbanks area and started learning about the area, its' people, and cultures. The Alaska Salmon Bake was a wonderful meal. The men in our group enjoyed a morning at the Antique Auto Museum in FB while the ladies enjoyed browsing in downtown FB. The journey by bus to Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge was beautiful. Our favorite Princess lodge was the McKinley Princess Lodge. It is in a beautiful setting and the accommodations were very nice. The visit to Talkeetna was great. We found a quaint cafe for a delicious breakfast and enjoyed seeing the village and sights of the mountains at the river. The ride on the Alaska RR from Talkeetna to Anchorage was made extra special by being able to see to the very top of More Denali's peaks when the sun came out as we departed from Talkeetna. That was our 1st view of the magnificent mountain. Be sure & include a land tour if you are going to AK and we are glad we did that 1st and then went for the cruise.

Princess Coral was our 1st cruise ever and she treated us very, very well. Our excursions included the Yukon Expedition and White Pass Scenic Railway which goes all the way to Carcross which is a quaint Yukon village. We returned on a motor coach after touring some of the most beautiful mountains & lakes in the world. Great photo ops. When in Ketchikan, we took the Wilderness Cruise & Silverking Lodge Seafood Feast. What a delicious lunch, beautiful scenery, and great entertainment by wild bald eagles!

We give kudos to all of our tour guides/coach drivers and staff who managed to make all of our transfers and connections work and always managed to get our luggage right where it needed to be. We don't know how they do it but we were very impressed. The young people who served as drivers and tour guides had the best attitudes and seemed to love what they were doing. It was obvious that they have studied hard to learn the stories and facts necessary to share a wealth of knowledge with their guests.

Thank you,Princess, for providing us with the adventure of a lifetime. We had such a good time with our family and friends who accompanied us. We cherished the time together and Princess served us very well. We miss those chefs for sure! Less

Cabin review: Coral Princess D419

Our cabin was very nice. The bed was very comfortable. We really enjoyed having a balcony although the weather interfered with us using it very much. Being mid ship was a good thing since we had not cruised before and did not know if we would have issues with motion sickness. It made it very convenient for getting back and forth to the elevators since my husband has some mobility issues.
