First time with P& O and must say the experience was great, Cabin on deck 10 B 362 was fine, nice balcony, plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, cases stored easily under bed, Ok the bathroom is small but enough room for you to wash and toilet and shower. Food was great all round had Freedom dining in The Ligurian Restaurant which we very much enjoyed. Often in the day or late evening we visited Marco Pierre White at Cafe Jardin (no extra cost) but was £ £5.25 per person for dinner. Marco Pierre White was on board and was lucky enough to meet and have a chat and photo with him, how nice he was. The Plaza on deck 14 was were we usually had Breakfast and Lunch, and if we had been on shore would come back to for Afternoon Snacks. Once used The Horizon Grill for Friday Lunch Fish and Chips it was lovely, (no extra cost) but you could book for Dinner and I was told it was excellent at £8.50 per person. 12 Bars/places where you could get drinks and found not having to pay the extra 15% as on other ships we have been on was a great help on our spending, we bought a 6 bottle wine package and found this would last 1-2 evenings with Dinner.

Activities:We enjoyed taking part in some of the daytime quizzes, especially Battle of The Sexes and had a good laugh (only the men won) . There was always something going on if you wanted to join in from 8.am Stretch and Relax in the Fitness Centre to Dance Classes, Art Class, Quiz, Guest Speakers, Deck Quiots, Films, Shopping, Afternoon Bingo, etc etc all free to use if you wish. We found this cruise much better for us than the larger American Ships we have travelled on as we did not used the: climb the big wall, roller skate, basketball courts or surfboard! and those type of cruises are perhaps better for younger people or those with teens who might use this type of facility. Service on The Oceana was great from the Cabin Staff who always left our Cabin looking immaculate to the friendly, the Reception Staff, the shops and to the staff we found in The Spa. Excursions: We did not use then, we would take the shuttle into town or would use a hop on hop off bus and was able to see all we wanted. We enjoyed all The Canary Islands stops as this was an area we had not travelled to in the past.

Entertainment: Was great from The Headliners Theatre Company, the brilliant Andrew Derbyshire, the magic acts, the funniest comedian ever Micky Zany, Andrea Dickinson and the wonderful singer Victor. This whole cruise was a pleasure, ok a little rust about but that did not distract from the wonderful time we had, would I use P & O again without a second thought, this was everything we wanted and more.
