I first want to say that this cruise was booked spontaneously at the last minute by my wife and I. We booked it two weeks prior to departure and got a great deal for three of us, $808.00! Then we read the reviews from passengers whom had sailed back in December 2006, we started to be a little concerned about what they were saying about the crew and the service. We decided that we keep an open mind and remember the great deal we got, and say you get what you pay for. Well, I want to share our experience with you!
Now, we are not first time cruisers, actually this was my 8 cruise and my wifes 10th. We have mainly sail on Princess and Royal Caribbean, but have also been on Carnival and Celebrity once each. We have been on difference size ships and in different size staterooms. So we have experienced a little of everything, except a balcony or a suite which next year we will have our first balcony. I've heard once you go balcony you never go back!!
We left Washington, D.C at 8:00am and arrived in Ft. Lauderdale around 10:40am. We retrieved our luggage, caught a taxi ($20.00) and was in the line at the COSTA embarkation point within 1 hour. (HINT: We beat the buses from the airport.)
