The minute we boarded the Sky I felt I had traveled back in time by eleven years to/ my last Norwegian cruise. The ship was not the same one but boy it sure did look the same. A major update is desperately needed for the Sky. Our room was not ready so we went up to their café buffet. Crowded and so hot. The food here and everywhere on this ship was not good. There were five of us and everyone was in agreement on the food. We had a balcony in our room but nice does not describe it. The room was clean but small for two adults and one child. Again, so dated. Small sofa was almost threadbare on the arms and felt dirty. The bed was not comfortable. We were in room 0251. Our cabin steward, Mario, was very attentive and kept our room clean and supplied with fresh towels. When I saw the pool area that sealed it for me. When it is June and you are on a trip to the Bahamas a great pool is expected. The pool was sooo small and there were no fun slides for children. So disappointing! We went to at least four different bars/lounges on the boat. The service was equally bad in every one. We had to practically beg for service. The entertainment was okay. We went to two of the shows in the Stardust Lounge. The excursions were good. My boys went to Atlantis and had a blast. Stirrup Cay was wonderful. But this being said it still did not make this experience what I had hoped. I booked this cruise so I was apologizing to my family. This will be our last Norwegian cruise.
