Carnival Fantasy Cruise Review by Patgoo: Spoiler Alert
Overall Member Rating
For 1st time cruisers do not read I do not wish to spoil your cruise
The Port of Charleston is a mess - concrete barriers - no drop off point- you are directed to a huge wearhouse where you park and them stand in line for a shuttle bus. terminal port is hard to find as the harbor cruises have signs saying to ship
The ship is very old with very few of the amenities one normally associates with a cruise - no Vegas shows no live bands on Lido -no movies on Lido- small selection in shops-ship is clean but rust every where our cabin had stained carpet and extreme rust on balcony with nicks and scratches on partitions
food ok - MDR food was cold and mediocre- but that is a personal taste
The sales of Invicta watches are overinflated as to original price so let the buyer be ware Watch I was lookng at 1299.00 ( They said) reduced to 399.00 Exact same watch on Shop HQ 211.61
De barking can take you to as many as 2-3 different shuttles
I More truly think Carnival does a disservice in not cluing cruisers about the port
WE have 10 cruises with several cruise lines and this was the only "iffy " experience I have ever had
Craziest elevator- no deck floors just names and some elevators disabled all through the cruise for luggage
Cabin was small bathroom very small and no space for personal items in bathroom
No lights in closets hard to see and most of the drawers were stuck
refrigerator didn't get cold and bedside lamps didn't work Beach towels thin and frayed Balcony light don't work as it interfers with navigation Less
