Great food and service but entertainment below par: Crown Princess Cruise Review by down under cruise lovers

Great food and service but entertainment below par
We did find that the ship appeared quite aged with many of the public areas being dark and poky. The lifts were also very slow to respond when called and were often over crowded
WE found that the boat was best suited to those who like the BIG ship experience and that you were only getting to know all the areas at the end of the cruise. Possibly a smaller boat is better for the Alaska cruises given that much of the time is spent ashore rather than on the boat.
The production shows looked dated and More were not particularly impressive.
The Cruise Director seemed sounded like she should be running an English holiday camp however her assistant Bernie had great enthusiasm and a real bubbly personality. Less
Room was OK and loved the walk in hanging area. The downside however was the VERY small bathroom and shower.
The Crown slips a little.
We warmed to the ship but neve...
