We were very impressed with the food in the main dining room and the horizon café and found the staff to excel in the service they provided. The International Café was also a pleasant surprise and it was great to be able to get a light meal at any time of the day. It did however need a bigger seating area with only a very small number of tables being available. The ice cream bar was a disappointment serving only diary soft rather than "real" ice cream.

We did find that the ship appeared quite aged with many of the public areas being dark and poky. The lifts were also very slow to respond when called and were often over crowded

WE found that the boat was best suited to those who like the BIG ship experience and that you were only getting to know all the areas at the end of the cruise. Possibly a smaller boat is better for the Alaska cruises given that much of the time is spent ashore rather than on the boat.

Cabin Review

Room was OK and loved the walk in hanging area. The downside however was the VERY small bathroom and shower.
