This was our 3rd cruise on Oriana and our 7th with P&O. The check-in was very quick and efficient and our luggage was delivered to our cabin without any problems. Our cabin steward couldn't have been more helpful and our cabin was spotless.
We were on Freedom Dining so could choose when we wanted to eat. If we wanted a table for 2 or decided to share a larger table we never had to wait. The choice of food was really good and the meals were delicious. The waiters were cheerful, efficient and so friendly.
The Headliners put on the most professional shows and the diverse entertainment, ranging from a fantastic comedian to West End singers, was most enjoyable.
We had been on a previous cruise to the Baltic with another cruise line, but there were 2 new ports on this trip, Lithuania and Poland, which we found fascinating. St. Petersburg was again enjoyable, but the excursions were quite costly and the crowds quite difficult to cope with - queues were so long and we weren't allowed any time to take in the beauty of the palaces we visited.
Disembarkation at Southampton was really efficient.
We were really impressed yet again by the service from all the crew on the ship and will certainly be happy to travel on Oriana again.
After reading so many negative reviews about P&O and its ships I can only put it down to the change in passenger profile that we have unfortunately seen over the past few years. We should be thankful that we are able to travel the world in so much comfort and luxury at such affordable prices.
